Grand View (NAIA - IA): Grand View University Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant position (tuition waiver + stipend). Ideal start date: June 1st, 2023. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting with all sports and the opportunity to lead 2-3 teams. Hours will vary and will include early mornings and late evenings, and some travel. Other responsibilities include: assisting with supervision and execution of strength/speed programs for various sports, daily maintenance and upkeep of facility, interns, etc. Candidates will receive valuable hands on coaching experience in all aspects as well as the opportunity to learn and grow in the field of Strength & Conditioning. QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must hold a BA/BS in Kinesiology or Exercise Science related field. CPR, First Aid and AED certification required. Possess or be working toward CSCS through the NSCA or the SCCC through the CSCCa. CSCCa mentorship is available to assist your eligibility for the certification. Candidates must possess strong communication skills, positive energy, attention to detail, sense of urgency, and strong work ethic. Skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Teambuildr, GymAware is preferred. South Florida: University of South Florida Football Strength and Conditioning is currently seeking volunteers for an UNPAID internship for the Summer of 2023. Qualified individuals who are chosen will have the opportunity to assist, and learn from a Division 1 Football Strength and Conditioning Staff. All that apply must possess great work ethic, energy and character. As well as exceptional communication and organizational skills. Potential candidates must have a strong desire to progress in the field, as well as the desire to pursue a career in collegiate strength and conditioning. Previous experience as an intern in the collegiate strength and conditioning setting, or coaching experience in athletics is preferred, but not required. Duties include, but are not limited to: set up and break down of all football training sessions, consistent facility maintenance, data entry, assist the full-time staff in all football training sessions in compliance with NCAA rules, and other duties as assigned by the full-time strength and conditioning staff. The Summer Volunteer Program is set to start on May 17th, 2023 and will conclude on July 28th, 2023.
