ULM: The University of Louisiana Monroe is looking for two Graduate Assistant Strength Coaches for the start of the fall 2017 semester. The first Graduate Assistant position will work with Softball, Women’s Tennis, and assist with Football. The second Graduate Assistant Position will work with Baseball, Men’s Golf, and assist with Football. Potential candidates must have experience assisting with these sports whether through internships or previous coaching positions. Minimum qualifications for candidates are: 1. Great work ethic, 2. Punctual and responsible, 3. Basic understanding of programming, 4. The ability to work as a team and a willingness to learn, 5. Completed at least two internships. It is the goal of ULM Strength and Conditioning to further the education of potential applicants in speed development, programming, the science of training sport, as well as coaching and managing the weight room. Both positions will start July 30th. The Graduate Assistant position includes an $8,000 dollar stipend paid out across two semesters, $800 in fall semester fee’s covered, all tuition covered minus fees in the spring semester. Classes are offered in the summer as a need basis and will be covered by the school minus fees, a stipend for the summer is included as well. Wofford (FCS): Wofford is seeking an assistant coach for the strength and conditioning department. This entry level position will allow for practical experience and growth through developing programming and implementation for assigned teams while assisting with football. Requirements for the position are as follows: Bachelor's Degree, Certification through NSCA or CSCCa, CPR / First Aid certification, previous experience at the collegiate level in the weight room, desire to learn and possess a passion for training athletes. The position pays a monthly stipend plus furnished off-campus housing in addition to an on-campus meal plan for the successful applicant. Anticipated start date is June 2017. Murray State (FCS - KY): Murray State University, is seeking qualified applicants for Intern / Volunteer Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coaches with Murray State University Athletics for summer 2017. This is a volunteer position that will begin in late May or early June and end during the month of August. There may be opportunities to make income through camps, clinics and also on-campus jobs. The Intern / Volunteer Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach will assist the strength and conditioning staff in implementing and supervising programs for 15 Varsity teams (Mostly Football and M/W Basketball). Position Responsibilities: Interns are expected to stay for the entire duration of the internships unless other arrangements have been made. Applicants that require internship for completion of a degree are preferred. Qualifications: CSCS, SCCC, or USAW Certification preferred, but not required. Experience in collegiate strength and conditioning preferred, but not required. Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Physical Education, or related field preferred. LA Valley College (JC): Los Angeles Valley College located in Valley Glen California is currently seeking (3) VOLUNTEER assistant football strength & conditioning coaches. This is an UNPAID position; that will be a great opportunity for an applicant to get hands on experience working with a college football strength and conditioning program. Ideal candidates are local applicants with a current work schedule that will allow them to commit three hours 3:00-6:00pm Monday-Thursday. Preferred qualifications: USAW, CSCS, or CSCCA Certification, students working towards a Kinesiology degree or applicants who have a CPT. Current CPR/AED certification is required.
