">freshly-minted Los Angeles Chargers are set to hire Anthony Lynn as their head coach, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Thursday evening.
Lynn spent the past two seasons as the Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator and running backs coach. He was named the Bills' interim head coach after Rex Ryan's dismissal and was considered the favorite for that job before Panthers defensive coordinator Sean McDermott landed the gig.
Lynn, 48, graduated from Texas Tech spent six seasons in the NFL before jumping into coaching as a special teams assistant with the Denver Broncos in 2000. He then coached running backs for the Jaguars, Cowboys, Browns and Jets before going to Buffalo.
With Lynn in the fold, the San Francisco 49ers are the last remaining NFL team without a head coach.
