Akron's season begins Sept. 1 at Nebraska, but the Zips will kick off the 2018 season the right way.
Akron on Wednesday announced it will host the I Love the 90s Tour at InfoCision Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 25. The tour offers a murder's row of 90s hip hop acts.

Tickets range from $20 to $60, but high rollers can purchase the Vanilla Ice package -- which includes a meet and great and a personal photograph with Mr. Ice himself, and a collectable I Love the 90s t-shirt, poster and laminate -- for the low price of $250. Salt-N-Pepa fans can purchase a similar package for $210.
Wednesday's announcement marks the first time a Coolio lyric has ever been used to promote a Terry Bowden-coached football team.
Know who else loves the 90s? Bowden himself. He went 74-26-2 as the head coach at Samford and Auburn with one SEC championship, two top-10 finishes and one trip to the Division I-AA semifinals from 1990-98.
The I Love the 90s Tour will criss-cross the nation throughout summer (but, sadly, will not include Kriss Kross), including a stop in the Twin Cities on Friday.
