Illinois: Grant Morgan, a former Illini walk-on that developed into an All-American and Burlsworth Trophy winner, has joined the staff as a defensive graduate assistant.
Utah State: Rodney Freeman II is joining Blake Anderson's staff as running backs coach. Freeman served as an offensive analyst at Michigan State this past season and had accepted the offensive coordinator position at Colorado Mesa earlier this year. He served as offensive coordinator at Klein Forest HS (TX) in 2020 & '21.
Bentley (D-II - MA): Sajan Thakkar has been named interim head coach. Thakkar was the team's offensive coordinator under head coach Alvin Reynolds who stepped down earlier this Spring.
Building Motion Systems, Read Systems and Perimeter Tags in Bash and Power Read Runs: Southern Nazarene University (OK) finished third in the country this season at the D2 level in rushing (312 ypg) and 95% of its run game consisted of Bash and Power Read principles. But what makes the system run is how the offensive staff builds in perimeter tags to variate blocking on the perimeter.
