Gallaudet (D-III - Washington, DC): Gallaudet University is seeking a well-qualified intern for the 2026 Fall semester. Gallaudet University is the premier institute of higher learning for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. The successful applicants will gain hands-on experience working with all 19 NCAA Division III varsity sports. It is the goal of Gallaudet University staff to provide interns with a well-rounded experience incorporating all facets of strength and conditioning. Interns who are entering into the internship program will assist the strength coaches with all sports and implement the strength, power, speed, agility, conditioning, movement assessment, and corrective exercise programs. Applicants must have or be working towards the completion of a degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Education or another related field. Interns with either collegiate athletic or coaching experience are preferred but not required. A strong work ethic and willingness to work extended hours are a must. In order to apply, each candidate must be First Aid and CPR/AED certified and either working towards or already certified strength coach. Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) is preferred. If the successful candidate has no prior knowledge, it will be expected that the intern is willing to learn. Interested applicants shall submit a cover letter, resume, and two references.
