An offseason of change is going to continue for LSU and coach Brian Kelly, both on and off the field.
Sources tell FootballScoop that Jeremiah Bogan is leaving the Tigers to take over as the director of player personnel at UConn for coach Jim Mora.
A South Carolina native and North Greenville graduate, Bogan had been part of an LSU personnel department that flourished after Kelly's arrival and under the direction of Will Redmond, FootballScoop's reigning player personnel director of the year.
The LSU roster had less than 40 scholarship players when the Tigers transitioned from the fired Ed Orgeron to Kelly at the close of the 2021 season.
LSU has won 10 games in each of Kelly's first two seasons on the bayou, played for an SEC Championship and also produced Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels in 2023.
A former college player, Bogan was hired at LSU nearly a year ago after Corey Phillips departed his No. 2 role with the Tigers to take over the personnel department for Deion Sanders at Colorado.
UConn had a surprising six-win 2022 campaign that resulted in a bowl trip in Mora's first season before it dipped to an 3-9 finish last season.
The Huskies open their 2024 slate Aug. 31 at Mike Locksley's rejuvenated Maryland program.
