After being tabbed as Chris Petersen's replacement in Washington, Jimmy Lake led the Huskies for four games in the COVID-shortened 2020 season, and then lasted just nine games before being let go on November 14th of 2021.
He did not coach anywhere in 2022, but a report today shares that he's heading for the NFL.
According to a report from Tom Pelissero, Lake is joining Sean McVay's staff with the Rams.
Pelissero adds that that his title is to be determined.
Lake has previously coached defensive backs in the NFL with the Bucs and Lions from 2008-11.
He made his way back to the college ranks after that, initially at Boise State under Petersen as pass game coordinator and defensive backs coach, and then defensive backs coach at Washington for a few seasons before adding the co-defensive coordinator title (2016) and then was promoted to defensive coordinator heading into the 2018 season.
