Believe it or not, football games start this week (CFL)

Brace yourself, because starting on Thursday night you'll be able to turn on ESPN2 and catch some actual football.

Well, alright, in the interest of full disclosure, it is Canadian League football, but it should help to hold you over until the next 73 days until the college football season kicks off...right?

Starting Thursday night on ESPN2 and ESPN3, the worldwide leader will televise a bunch of games from the nine team league stretching clear into late August. The first game will air Thursday at 7:30pm Eastern Time and will feature the Ottawa REDBLACKS and the Montreal Alouettes.

Last season, the East Division's Calgary Stampeders (15-3) won the 102nd Grey Cup by beating the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the West Division by a score of 20-16.
