Later this week, Arkansas will be seeking the stamp of approval from the Board of Trustees on a renovation to Donald W. Reynolds Razorback stadium, which includes an addition to the north end zone.
Athletic director Jeff long noted in a statement that the renovations and addition are aimed at improving the game day experience for fans in Fayetteville.
“This project is about improving the gameday experience for every Razorback fan. The addition of a north end zone will connect fans throughout the stadium."
"Renovated suite and club areas will provide a variety of options for fans. Reducing prices in the upper level of the stadium and providing a lower priced standing room only ticket will give every Arkansan an opportunity to cheer on the Hogs. This is the next step for Razorback Football and the legacy of the on-campus Home of the Razorbacks.” Long said his statement.
The north end zone addition will include new suites, loge boxes, club seats, and vast club areas, and the concourses of the east and west will connect to allow fans a path around the stadium. Bathrooms and new concessions will also be added, as well as a new game day locker room, training room, and support rooms for the team before and after games.
Updates to the stadium will include new elevators, renovated suite and club areas, and a new video board.
Overall, the new updates look to bring Donald W. Reynolds stadium into the modern era, and should be an impressive nugget for Bret Bielema and his staff to sell to future Razorbacks. All that's needed now is the stamp of approval from the board.
