College Football: A national mandate to limit in-season full-contact practices to one or two days a week has been discussed at a national player safety summit back in January. The Pac-12 and Ivy League currently have initiatives of their own limiting full-contact practices to twice a week during the season.
Texas: Texas is looking at adding beer sales to their athletic events. Former AD DeLoss Dodds started the conversation and talks have continued over the past several months. 29 colleges nationwide currently allow the sale of beer during games. New AD Steve Patterson says he has been exploring ways to increase attendance and fan experience.
