Tom Jurich's initial response to Louisville's involvement in the Wakeyleaks scandal didn't make any sense. By closing his first statement by saying, essentially, that he was annoyed the scandal interrupted Louisville's Citrus Bowl prep -- still more than two weeks out from the game -- showed that he didn't grasp the seriousness of the situation.
Now he does.
Jurich released a second statement Friday again admitting Louisville coaches accepted and used Wake Forest's stolen game plan, submitted his school to the ACC's ongoing investigation, admonished his staff for not alerting Wake Forest it had been compromised and suspended co-offensive coordinator Lonnie Galloway for the Citrus Bowl. (Though, still, Bobby Petrino escapes Jurich's direct blame.)
Thus far Louisville has been the only Wakeyleaks beneficiary to be caught red-handed, though we'll have to wait to see what the full ACC investigation unfolds.
