LSU: LSU is seeking applicants for an internship in their sports nutrition / strength and condition department. Essential Functions: Assist Coordinator of Sports Nutrition in counseling athletes on proper nutrition, supplements, ergogenic aids, and use of banned substances, Assist with fueling stations during practices and games, Assist in nutrition preparation for athletic events, Assist Coordinator of Sports Nutrition in development and delivery of team nutrition seminars, Conduct body composition measurement via BodPod, Assist in ordering and organization of nutritional supplements, Professional Skills and Qualifications: Completion of or working toward degree in Nutritional Sciences or Dietetics or similar field (preferred), Previous collegiate athletic participation (preferred). Cincinnati Bengals: The Cincinnati Bengals are seeking a Strength and Conditioning Fellow for the 2014 NFL season. This is a seasonal position with no benefits that will start and continue until one week after the season concludes.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist staff with the design and implementation of football specific strength, speed, agility, and conditioning programs, Assist staff in performance monitoring and analysis using a Global Positioning System (GPS), Assist staff in assessment and analysis using the Functional Movement Screen (FMS), Weight room supervision, daily upkeep and equipment maintenance, Any other duties assigned by the Strength and Conditioning Coach, Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree strongly preferred, 1-3 years’ coaching experience in football strength & conditioning at the collegiate or professional level preferred. Proven ability as Head S&C coach highly valued, CSCS/USAW/CSCCA/ACSM certification preferred, CPR/AED certification required, FMS certification preferred, 1 year of experience preferred in implementing the FMS system and corresponding corrective exercise prescription, 1 year of experience monitoring with GPS technology preferred. Time Requirements: Approximate start date of April 1, 2014 to one week after the season concludes. Compensation: Hourly wage with no benefits.
