Illinois: Interim AD Paul Kowalczyk told the Chicago Sun-Times interim AD Bill Cubit "still has a shot" at the full-time job. Cubit had this to say: "There's a lot of people who have reached out in support, but not the decision-makers."

Will Muschamp: Auburn defensive coordinator Will Muschamp told AL.com today that neither he, nor any of his representatives, "have been contacted about any job".

Hutchinson CC (KS): Per source, offensive coordinator Ryan Mahon is leaving the staff.

South Dakota (FCS): The Coyotes have revealed head coach Joe Glenn will announce his retirement at an 11 a.m. CT press conference Monday. Glenn went 12-32 in four years with the Coyotes but won 200 games across 28 seasons at Doane, Northern Colorado, Montana, Wyoming and USD.

North Texas: There have been reports attempting to tie Baylor offensive coordinator Kendal Briles to the North Texas opening. We have heard all along that he is not seeking this job. The Waco Trib noted today that he says he has no interest in the job.

Iowa State: Per source, Paul Rhoads has been dismissed as head coach of the Cyclones. Update: Iowa State has now confirmed the news adding that Rhoads will coach the team in their final game against West Virginia.

Now that it is official, here's a look at where Iowa State might turn

Syracuse: Following yesterday's loss at NC State, Syracuse has now lost 8 straight games and for the second season in a row Syracuse only has one ACC win. In three years as head coach, Shafer has seen his team's win totals drop from 7 to 3 to 3 (with one game remaining vs Boston College). Sources tell FootballScoop that members of Shafer's staff believe they, as a group, will not return next season.

The FCS regular season ended yesterday and the FBS regular season has ended for a few teams. We'll keep you updated as events unfold; but we encourage everyone involved to stay positive. Unexpected endings lead to new beginnings. Be professional, don't burn bridges. Where you coach doesn't define who you are. As the guys on NFL Network noted this morning, "Coaches are big boys, we can regroup and find something else....but this is hard on the families."
