Midland University (NAIA - NE): Head coach Josh Gehring has been relieved of his responsibilities and will not coach the remainder of the season. AD and former football coach Dave Gillespie will serve as interim head coach. Shawn Daniel will take over as offensive coordinator. The University says it will immediately begin its search for its new head coach.
Somehow the George O'Leary story just got weird(er)
Texas: UT has announced that they have rehired long-time associate athletic director of football media relations John Bianco. Just a few months ago, former athletic director Steve Patterson had dismissed Bianco leaving Charlie Strong without a much needed ally. This was a good move.

Quarterbacks coach Jim Bob Cooter will now serve as offensive coordinator, tight ends coach Ron Prince has taken over as offensive line coach and assistant special teams coordinator Devin Fitzsimmons will now coach the tight ends.
Stanford offensive coordinator Mike Bloomgren has a special message for his high school coach Mike Hickman. Watch & enjoy...this is what it is all about.
Virginia Tech: Frank Beamer responded to a question about his future today with the following, "Whatever is good for Virginia Tech, what is best for Virginia Tech, is what I'm into. I've always felt that way and always will, and that's it." The Hokies are 3-5 with games remaining at BC, at Georgia Tech, vs. North Carolina and at Virginia.
Miami: Former U all-everything Ed Reed told Rich Eisen that he would entertain a call about becoming the next head coach of the U. Here's our look at the path forward for this search and a summary of what others are saying.
Former coaches: Houston Nutt has "decided interest" in the UCF job, per Jack Arute and Butch Davis went on local Miami radio and said he'd love to be considered for the Miami job. Yep, that time of year my friends.
Iowa State: Offensive coordinator Mark Mangino has been relieved of his responsibilities. Quarterbacks coach Todd Sturdy will take over the play calling per Paul Rhoads. Rhoads said that he and Mangino just weren't on the same page. Tommy Mangino, Mark's son, will remain as receivers coach. More on Rhoads' decision here.

New Mexico State: Following Saturday's 52-7 loss to Troy at home in Lac Cruces, New Mexico State stands 0-7 this season and is allowing just a hair under 50 points per game. Head coach Doug Martin, who received an extension through the 2017 season in February, won two games in each of his first two seasons at NMSU; but has now lost 17 straight games. Sounds like a recipe for a coaching change; but not so fast my friends...Athletic director Mario Moccia came out Sunday in full support of Martin. "Doug Martin is our head coach. No changes are going to be made. Doug Martin is going to be our coach next year."
Indianapolis Colts: Team Owner Jim Irsay and General Manager Ryan Grigson reportedly engaged in a heated conversation in the locker room following the Colts loss to the Saints yesterday. With every passing day it feels more and more like we're going to see major changes within the Colts organization before next season.
A great recap of all that transpired Saturday and what it all means going forward
