Jim McElwain's first season at Florida might as well have been sponsored by Elmer's. Florida's 2015 starting quarterback -- the Gators' leading returning passer and rusher -- has since been moved to wide receiver, and their starting kicker during the stretch run of the season was pulled out of dental school after an all-hands tryout.
And yet McElwain and the Gators ripped off 10 wins and an SEC East championship.
This year's group is viewed behind Tennessee and Georgia in the race to Atlanta, but last year's results say McElwain is probably just fine with that.
Highlights from McElwain's press conference Monday in Hoover:
McElwain then followed that up by wondering if Florida would have the money for state championship rings or not. A shot at his administration?
