With three Saturdays between today and Conference Championship Saturday, it's time we took a deep dig look at where each conference and division race in FBS stands.
ACC
Atlantic: Clemson (6-0 ACC) clinched the Atlantic Division by virtue of last week's 23-13 win over Florida State. The Tigers will return to the ACC title game for the first time since 2011.
Coastal: North Carolina (5-0 ACC) can win the Coastal and advance to its first ACC Championship with a win over Miami Saturday. Pittsburgh (4-1 ACC), Miami (3-2 ACC) and Duke (3-2 ACC) remain technically alive.
Big 12
Baylor (5-0 Big 12) and Oklahoma State (6-0 Big 12) can win the Big 12 outright - becoming the first team to complete a 9-0 Big 12 season - by winning out. Oklahoma (5-1 Big 12) also controls its own destiny; wins over Baylor, TCU and Oklahoma State would, at worst, give the Sooners a head-to-head tiebreak over any other potential 8-1 team. TCU (5-1 Big 12) could also claim at least a share of the conference title.
Big Ten
East: Ohio State (5-o B1G) and Michigan State (4-1 B1G) will head to the Big Ten Championship with three more victories. Michigan (4-1 B1G) would win the division with three more wins and one Michigan State loss. Penn State (4-2 B1G) remains technically alive.
West: Iowa (5-0 B1G) will advance to its first Big Ten Championship by beating two of Minnesota, Purdue and Nebraska. Wisconsin (5-1 B1G) can advance to its fourth Big Ten Championship with two wins and two Iowa losses. Northwestern (3-2 B1G) remains technically alive.
Pac-12
North: Stanford (7-0 Pac-12) will win its third division title in four years with a win over Oregon (4-2 Pac-12) Saturday or a win over Cal on Nov. 21. If the Cardinal loses both of those, Oregon will win the division for the second straight year with wins over USC and Oregon State.
South: Utah (5-1 Pac-12) and UCLA (4-2 Pac-12) remain in control of their respective destinies in advance of their Nov. 21 meeting in Salt Lake City. Should UCLA take down the Utes, or if Utah were to lose Saturday to Arizona or to Colorado in their finale, USC (4-2 Pac-12) can win the division with victories over Colorado, Oregon and UCLA.
SEC
East: Florida (6-1 SEC) has clinched the East Division for the 11th time overall and first since 2009.
West: Alabama (5-1 SEC) will head to Atlanta for the second year in a row and 10th time ever with wins over Mississippi State and Auburn. A loss in either game would hand the division to LSU (4-1 SEC) - provided the Tigers win out - or Ole Miss (4-2 SEC), provided the Rebels win out and Arkansas loses another game. Mississippi State (3-2 SEC) and Arkansas (3-2 SEC) remain in the mix. Texas A&M (3-3 SEC) is on life support.
American
East: Temple (5-0 AAC) wins the division with a win over South Florida Saturday. The Bulls (3-2 AAC) would sneak in and steal the crown with wins in their final three games and one more Owls loss.
West: Houston (5-0 AAC) and Navy (5-0 AAC) remain in control of their respective destinies in advance of their Black Friday meeting in Houston. Memphis (4-1 AAC) also controls its own destiny, but must beat Houston and Temple on the road.
Conference USA
East: As long as Marshall beats FIU next weekend, the winner of Marshall's (5-1 C-USA) visit to Western Kentucky (6-0 C-USA) on Black Friday will win the division.
West: Like the East, the division is headed toward a Nov. 28 collision between Louisiana Tech (5-1 C-USA) and Southern Miss (4-1 C-USA) in Hattiesburg. Rice (2-3 C-USA) and UTEP (2-3 C-USA) remain hanging on by a single thread.
MAC
East: Bowling Green (6-0 MAC) clinched its third straight trip to Detroit thanks to a 41-27 win over Western Michigan on Wednesday.
West: Toledo, Northern Illinois and Western Michigan sit deadlocked at 5-1 in the conference, and Central Michigan lurks at 4-2. Northern Illinois owns a 32-27 win at Toledo on Nov. 3, while the Broncos have yet to face either the Rockets or Huskies.
Mountain West
Mountain: Boise State (4-1 MW) and Air Force (4-1 MW) control their respective fates heading into a Nov. 20 duel in Boise. If Boise State trips up along the way, Utah State (4-2 MW) can win the division with wins over the Falcons (Saturday) and Nevada on Nov. 21.
West: San Diego State (5-0 MW) clinches its first MW Championship appearance with two more victories. If the Aztecs lose to either Wyoming or UNLV, Nevada (3-2 MW) can win the division by winning out. San Jose State (3-2 MW) and UNLV (2-3) are hanging around, but both would need significant help.
Sun Belt
Arkansas State (5-0 SBC) can claim an outright Sun Belt title for the third time in five years with three more victories, and at least a share of four SBC crowns in five years with two more wins. Appalachian State (4-1 SBC), Georgia Southern (4-1 SBC) and Louisiana-Lafayette (3-1 SBC) are in the mix to grab a hold of a shared championship if the Red Wolves slip up along the way.
