Yesterday, Whitewater posted this video of their "Ring Day" where the team unboxes the culmination of their hard work from last season, and the bling is pretty impressive. The POUND THE ROCK on the side is a real nice touch.
After claiming six of the last eight Division III national titles, receiving a championship ring at UW-Whitewater has become almost as common as issuing gear.
With Lance Leipold taking the head job at Buffalo (who won six national titles leading the Whitewater program), and defensive line coach / defensive run game coordinator Kevin Bullis stepping into the head coaching role, the Warhawks will have an uphill battle to claim their third straight national title...but if anyone has the pieces in places (from tradition to coaches and players), it's UW-Whitewater.
That giant ring seems like as good a motivation as any to get to work on earning another one.
