Video: The MAC's Fly The Flag movement now has its own hype video (MAC)

Back in July, the MAC launched an interesting campaign that involves an opportunity for member schools to hoist a pirate flag on their campus.

To earn flag flying rights, a MAC school needs to knock off a Power 5 program and the following week on campus the custom MAC pirate flag will take flight. For the MAC it's really a a cool and unique way to brand itself.

"Players and coaches that have a chip on their shoulder, that demonstrate an anytime, anywhere attitude. If respect is not freely given, then we will earn it, and we will take it," the video opens by saying, echoing the comments made a the announcement of the campaign

Of course, the league will have no shortage of opportunities to earn that flag, especially right off the bat, as Western Michigan travels to Syracuse tonight, while tomorrow features Central Michigan taking on Kentucky on the road, NIU against Iowa at Kinnick, Bowling Green heads to Eugene to take on the Ducks, and Akron will take on Nebraska.

...and all that action is just over opening weekend.

With college football season now officially upon us, the MAC has released a hype video reminding everyone of the Fly The Flag movement, starring MAC commissioner Jon Steinbrecher in full pirate costume.
