Back in late November, BYU running backs coach Reno Mahe and his wife lost their daughter Elsie in a tragic accident that moved the BYU and entire college football community. It's something that no parent should have to go through.
In a touching tribute, Tow Kars (the National Kidney Foundation of Utah and Idaho) reached out to coach Mahe and asked if he would be okay with them replacing a billboard that normally features BYU coaches with a special tribute to his daughter, who saved five lives by being an organ donor.
Coach Mahe gave them the green light to do the billboard, and Reno then brought his wife along to surprise her on the four month anniversary of the accident, and cameras were there to catch the touching tribute and the moments just after.
It's a really emotional moment for a family that BYU and the entire college football community has had in their thoughts and prayers for a while now.
