UCLA: The University Of California, Los Angeles is accepting applications for the position of Athletic Performance Intern working with Olympic Sports. The Winter-Spring internship will run from January-May 2018. Duties include assisting the full-time Athletic Performance coaching staff in all aspects of UCLA Athletic Performance program including but not limited to warm-ups, strength and speed training, conditioning, and athlete assessment. Minimum requirements include, a bachelorโs degree or a degree in progress in an exercise science related field, CPR and First Aid certified, and a strong desire to pursue a career in collegiate strength and conditioning. Effective August 1st, 2015, NCAA legislation mandates that only certified personnel can coach athletes unsupervised, therefore, CSCS or CSCCA certification is preferred. A minimum time commitment of 30 hours per week is required. These positions are for VOLUNTEER coaches, no compensation will be provided. Louisiana Lafayette: Ragin' Cajuns Strength and Conditioning is accepting applications for volunteer internship positions for the spring semester. Report date is January 5th and will run through the end of April. These are unpaid positions. Candidates should have, or be working towards, a BA / BS in an Exercise Science related field plus current CPR / AED certification. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who have a strong desire to pursue collegiate strength and conditioning. Candidates will have opportunities to work with Football and Olympic Sports. Candidates will complete weekly assignments, presentations, and participate in weekly staff meetings as part of the internship curriculum.
