Michigan: Michigan has formally announced the hiring of Ben Herbert as its head strength coach. Herbert previously worked with Bret Bielema at Wisconsin and Arkansas.
Florida State: Oregon head football strength coach Irele Oderinde is headed to Tallahassee with Willie Taggart we are told.
Indiana: As we first reported a few days back,Dave Ballou has now been formally announced as the new head football strength and conditioning coach for Tom Allen at Indiana.
University of Mary (D-II - ND): The University of Mary Strength and Conditioning Department is seeking applicants for the graduate assistant position. This is a 12 month position and may be renewed for a second year. Graduate Assistantship in Strength and Conditioning involves assistant coaching responsibilities which may include: Strength and Conditioning Coach for assigned teams, testing and evaluation, communication with sport coaches and athletic training staff, ability to coach and demonstrate Olympic movements, power lifts, and auxiliary movements. Ability to use involving software such as but not limited to Excel, Word, Outlook, power points, and video analysis. A strong desire to coach beyond your GA. Maintain a professional working relationship with members of the University of Mary athletic department and University campus community. The position includes graduate tuition, a stipend, and partial meal plan. Qualifications include; One or more of the following certifications: CSCS, SCCC, USAW, or FMS. Nevada: Per source, Ohio State strength and conditioning intern Zach Higginbotham has accepted a full-time position on the Nevada strength staff.
Wyoming: LSU assistant strength coach Ben Iannacchione has been hired as the director of sports performance for football.
Mississippi Valley State: Strength and conditioning coach Jeff Sawyer will not return to the program per sources. Sawyer also coached the team's linebackers.
