Sources: Scott Satterfield moving to hire wide receivers coach, complete first staff (Featured)

Scott Satterfield has nine of his 10 assistant spots filled for his inaugural Louisville staff, and sources told FootballScoop on Thursday that the 10th and final assistant could be on the way.

Sources told FootballScoop that Louisville is moving towards hiring Gunter Brewer to fill their receivers role. No deal is currently in place. However Louisville is hopeful to have a deal in place potentially as early as later today. Sources tell FootballScoop two other East Coast Power 5 programs are also interested in Brewer's services.

A veteran of the college game, Brewer spent the 2018 campaign as the wide receivers coach for the Philadelphia Eagles but has prior experience at North Carolina, Ole Miss, Oklahoma State, Marshall and East Tennessee State. His coaching career began as a strength coach at Wake Forest, his alma mater, in 1986.

Brewer has coached two Biletnikoff Award winners and one more finalist -- Justin Blackmon (Oklahoma State, 2010) and Randy Moss (Marshall, 1997) plus runner-up Dez Bryant (Oklahoma State, 2008) as well as countless other NFL receivers.

If and when Brewer comes aboard, Satterfield's initial Louisville staff would shake out as follows:

Dwayne Ledford -- Offensive coordinator/offensive line coach
Frank Ponce -- Quarterbacks coach
Norval McKenzie -- Running backs coach
Gunter Brewer -- Wide receivers coach
Stu Holt -- Tight ends coach/special teams coordinator

Bryan Brown -- Defensive coordinator/cornerbacks coach
Cort Dennison -- Co-defensive coordinator/outside linebackers coach
Dale Jones -- Inside linebackers coach
Mark Ivey -- Defensive line coach
ShaDon Brown -- Safeties coach

Mike Sirignano -- Head strength & conditioning coach
Josh Thompson -- Director of football operations
Pete Nochta -- Recruiting coordinator
Luke Mullett -- Director of football technology

As always, stay tuned to The Scoop for the latest.
