Arizona State: Herm Edwards has now formally been announced as the new head coach of the Sun Devils. The release is unlike anything you have ever seen. Enjoy.

Texas A&M: Source tells FootballScoop Florida State off the field general Mark Robinson has joined Jimbo's staff at Texas A&M. Robinson is expected to have a similar role at A&M.

Kent State: Sources tell us that primary target Bob Nielson, the head coach at the University of South Dakota, has been offered the job. We're told it is not a done deal at this time. Nielson led USD to an 8-5 record this year, losing in the FCS playoffs to Sam Houston State in the second round. Nielson has been at South Dakota since 2016, and prior to that was at Western Illinois (16-21 overall), and was very successful at Minnesota Duluth (100-26 overall with two perfect 15-0 national title seasons) from 1999-2012.

Nebraska: All UCF assistants, except for offensive coordinator Troy Walters and tight ends coach Sam Beckton, are expected to join Scott Frost at Nebraska, per a tweet from Brandon Helwig.

Willie Taggart: Despite what Taggart tweeted last night; sources continue to tell FootballScoop he remains a strong candidate for the Florida State head job. If he leaves Oregon for his "dream job", one year after leaving his "dream job" at South Florida...well, that's going to be interesting. Good problem to have though...

Justin Fuente: Virginia Tech head coach Justin Fuente today, in response to a question about being a candidate for other jobs said, "We've been approached and I've declined to talk to anybody."

Auburn:Brandon Marcello reports that Gus Malzahn has agreed to a new deal, keeping him at Auburn. Marcello adds that while the financial terms are not clear yet, "the deal will stretch at least five years and could include a raise to as much as $7 million."

Nebraska: The salary pool for Scott Frost's 10 assistant coaches and the head strength and conditioning coach will come from a pool of $5 million, according to what athletic director Bill Moos told the Journal Star.

Gus Malzahn: While on the Peach Bowl press conference, with rumors swirling about a decision on leaving for Arkansas or returning to Auburn coming today (see update from earlier today), Gus Malzahn chose to simply reiterate what he stated last night, saying "I'm planning on being at Auburn. That's where I said last night that I want to be, and nothing has changed."

Washington: Atlanta Falcons quarterbacks coach Bush Hamdan is headed back to Washington as offensive coordinator. Hamdan will join the staff after Atlanta's season. Hamdan coached at UW for the 2015 & 2016 seasons.

Florida: Mississippi State running backs / special teams coordinator Greg Knox will join Dan Mullen's staff after State's bowl game sources tell FootballScoop. Knox is serving as interim head coach for the bowl.

Georgia Southern: Per source, offensive coordinator Bryan Cook and defensive coordinator Lorenzo Costantini will not return. Also, sources tell us that Samford (FCS - AL) defensive line coach Victor Cabral is joining the staff.

South Alabama: Defensive coordinator Kane Wommack will serve as the program's interim head coach until a new coach is hired, per AL.com.

Gus Malzahn: Dennis Dodd of CBS reports one contract figure being tossed around to lure Malzahn to the Razorbacks is a deal worth $50 million over seven years. Also from CBS' Barrett Sallee is that Arkansas expects an answer from Auburn's Gus Malzahn by the end of the day today.

Nebraska: Scott Frost said on Sunday he will "take a little time" to fill out his staff but indicated he expects to bring much of his UCF staff. Frost will coach UCF through their bowl game.

Clemson: Dabo Swinney will collect $150,000 bonuses for both the ACC title, and for making the College Football Playoff, according to Steve Berkowtiz's tweet.

Oklahoma: Lincoln Riley earned a bonus of $150,000 for making it to the College Football Playoff, per a tweet from Steve Berkowitz.

Alabama: Nick Saban has earned a bonus of $110,000 for making it into the College Football Playoff, per a tweet from Steve Berkowitz.

Ohio State: Urban Meyer adds a bonus of $200,000 for being placed in the Fiesta Bowl (against USC) instead of $250,000 which would have been due for making the College Football Playoff, Steve Berkowitz points out in a tweet.

Georgia: According to a tweet from Steve Berkowitz, Kirby Smart collected a total of $675,000 in bonuses after their win over Auburn on Saturday, taking his total in bonuses earned for the year to $900,000.

Louisiana-Lafayette: Head coachMark Hudspeth has been let go. A press conference has been called for noon local time by athletic director Bryan Maggard.

College Football Playoff: In the Sugar Bowl, #1 Clemson will take on #4 Alabama, and in the Rose Bowl we have #2 Oklahoma vs. #3 Georgia.

Central Florida: UCF and Kevin Sumlin are engaged in talks, tweets Ryan Bass of the CBS affiliate in Tampa. Bass says Sumlin is AD Danny White's top target.

Tennessee: New ADPhil Fulmer has reached out to Les Miles about the Vols vacancy, per a report via 247.

Bowling Green: Defensive coordinator Perry Eliano will not return, the school has announced.

Jeff Fisher: Fisher, the former head coach of the Rams and Titans, is preparing for an opportunity to return to the league as a head coach by reaching out to potential staff members, according to a report from Jason LaCanfora of CBS Sports. The report goes on to list the Browns among franchises that may be interested in getting a veteran coach like Fisher.

NY Giants: The Giants "could" fire head coach Ben McAdoo within 24 hours of today's game against the Raiders reports Adam Schefter. Schefter adds general manager Jerry Reese could also be on the block.

Kansas City Chiefs: Head coach Andy Reid is giving up play-calling duties to offensive coordinator Matt Nagy for today's game with the Jets, Chris Mortensen tweets.

Arkansas: "I want to be the head coach at Auburn," Gus Malzahn said after Saturday's SEC Championship loss to Georgia. As we reported earlier this week, Auburn's loss allows Arkansas to pursue Gus as its top option, but Gus's camp has presented its ask to Auburn's president. Stay tuned.
