NCAA: Head coaches will now have to pick their favorite support staff member, because he's the only one allowed on headset during games now.
Michigan: J.T. Rogan, director of communications and operations for head coach Jim Harbaugh, has resigned his post to "pursue my passions," he said in a Twitter post.
Alabama: Bob Welton is set to join the staff as director of player personnel, multiple outlets have reported. Welton spent the past five years in a similar post at Tennessee and had joined Scott Frost's Nebraska staff in February. Nebraska confirmed Welton's departure to the Lincoln Journal-Star, saying, "We're comfortable with the direction we're headed with the position." Welton replaces Jody Wright, who left to become the offensive line coach and run game coordinator at UAB.
Western Michigan: Western Michigan University is searching for an unpaid Special Teams Quality Control Assistant. This position has the potential to grow into a graduate assistant or paid quality control position and is an excellent opportunity to gain experience with a division one football program. The Special Teams Quality Control Assistant will assist the Special Teams Coordinator with day to day special teams operations including opponent film break down, self-scout, and practice preparation. This position is strictly volunteer with no compensation, housing or benefits. At least two years of college coaching experience in preferred and preference will be given to those with experience in DVSport. Please send your resume to wmufootballcandidates@gmail.com. No phone calls or emails to the staff will be considered.
