Florida sets the standard in saying goodbye to a coach

Billy Donovan accomplished more in his 19 seasons as Florida's basketball coach than the Gators had in their 80-odd years prior to his hiring. Two national championships, four Final Fours, 10 SEC regular season or tournament championships, five national or conference coach of the year awards.

And now he's gone.

After days of speculation and rumor, Donovan was officially announced as the Oklahoma City Thunder's new head coach on Thursday afternoon.

The mood around the Florida program and college basketball at large is one of resigned appreciation.

Florida's official Twitter account did a nice job of saying goodbye to the best coach it's ever had in an honest, thankful way.

When's the last time you can remember a football program unveiling a goodbye video to a coach - with footage from his first press conference - immediately after he leaves?
