Bruce Arians: "I've been an SOB for 17, 18 years now. I ain't changed just because we won a couple games."

Bruce Arians is different than the other 31 NFL head coaches, most of whom are some form of football autobot. He dresses different, and he certainly talks different.

When asked the standard question of how he's going to stop his team from assuming a 3-0 start equated to an automatic bye to the Super Bowl, Arians said this:

"It's a short elevator ride back to the s---house ... all of a sudden, I'm the greatest damned coach in the world. I've been a sorry son of a bitch for 17, 18 years now. I mean, I ain't changed just because we won a couple games."

Tim Keown of ESPN.com had a great look at Arians and the path that started as a Virginia Tech graduate assistant in 1975, to a Bear Bryant staff member at Alabama, to half a decade as Temple's head coach, to two decades-plus as an NFL assistant before taking the reins in Arizona in 2013.
