Northwestern: Sources tell FootballScoop Pat Fitzgerald is planning to hire a rising star from the FCS ranks as his new defensive line coach. How about this, pairing a coordinator from NDSU with a defensive line coach from SDSU. A new day for Northwestern football for sure. 

Arizona: Andrew Sims has accepted the director of football operations job. Sims previously served as DFO at Nebraska for over three years.

LA Rams: Field Yates tweets that offensive line coach Kevin Carberry, special teams coordinator Joe DeCaminillis, defensive backs coach Jonathan Cooley, assistant defensive line coach Skyler Jones and defensive assistant Lance Schulters will not be returning to the staff.

Presentation (NAIA - SD): Presentation has announced that their campus in Aberdeen will be shutting down after the spring and summer semesters.

Northern Illinois: Sources tell FootballScoop that NIU is expected to add an FCS coordinator to the staff.

Stony Brook (FCS - NY): Former Maine (FCS) offensive coordinator Andrew Dresner is taking over as offensive coordinator at Stony Brook, sources tell FootballScoop.

Illinois College (D-III - IL): Illinois College is seeking applications to fill a Restricted Earnings position. This coach will serve as the football Strength and Conditioning Coordinator. We have openings on the offensive and defensive side to fill, with preference given to candidates with strength experience. The restricted earnings, 10 month position, $6,500 annually, includes housing and occasional meals. Please submit your application using this link. Pittsburgh Steelers: Offensive coordinator Matt Canda will return for another season, the team has announced. 

Maine Maritime (D-III): Maine Maritime, who recently announced plans to reinstate their football program, is now accepting applicants for their head coaching position. Visit this link for a full job description, and find instructions on how to apply here.

UAB: Eddie Gordon, a quality control assistant for the Dawgs, plans to accept an on-field coaching position with UAB, per Dawgs 247.

St. Norbert (D-III - WI): St. Norbert College, located in the Green Bay suburb of De Pere, seeks two defensive assistant football coaches. Preferred candidates will have prior experience playing or coaching DB & DL, but will hire the best overall candidates. These positions will be responsible for coaching their own position; running meetings; assisting in game planning, film analysis and breakdown (HUDL), recruiting; and other duties assigned by Head Coach and Def Coordinator. This is a 12 month position with a salary of $12,000. No housing/other benefits. Review of candidates will begin immediately. Minority candidates are encouraged to apply. Minnesota Vikings: When asked if defensive coordinator Ed Donatell will return, head coach Kevin O'Connell was only willing to share that he's in "evaluation mode" of his staff and players and that process will continue this week.

Appalachian State: The Mountaineers have found their defensive line coach.

Lindsey Wilson (NAIA): Lindsey Wilson College is accepting applications for a restricted earnings position. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience on Defense or a background working with Special Teams/Specialist. Off the field experience in football operations and recruiting will also be considered. Lindsey Wilson College Football has a combined record of 45-4 the last four seasons including the 2020 NAIA National Championship. Compensation includes housing, a meal plan and a monthly stipend. Saint Vincent (D-III - PA): Saint Vincent College has an immediate opening for an assistant coach / assistant manager of football operations / assistant recruiting coordinator. The Assistant Manager of Football Operations / Assistant Recruiting Coordinator is responsible for assisting the daily operations and recruiting of the football program in conjunction with the head coach. The responsibilities include coordinating recruiting territories, management of the football roster, eligibility management, budget management, assisting with recruiting operations, pre-season camp organization, assisting with the coordinator of team travel, alumni relations engagement, multi-media oversight, directing work study and internship personnel, assisting with the coordinator of equipment and purchasing, and student-athlete retention management. The Assistant Coaching position can be for offense or defense. The position is Part-Time and pay will be discussed based on experience. Clarion (D-II - PA): Ed Groth has accepted the special teams coordinator / wide receivers coach at Clarion. Groth previously served as a special teams analyst at Southeast Louisiana (FCS).

Moorpark College (JC - CA): MC is seeking an experienced DB coach. These positions pay ranges anywhere from $6k-8k per Fall season simply based off education and experience. Also, the possibility of teaching a football class in Summer 2023. Must be willing to start ASAP and recruit during off season. Recruiting is a MUST at this level. Preferably looking for someone local in the Southern California area. If you don't have a degree, please still send your resume and will be able to still get a stipend position. Miami Dolphins: Pass game coordinator / quarterbacks coach Darrell Bevell informed the Jets and Commanders that he has decided to decline the opportunity to interview for their offensive coordinator jobs, Tom Pelissero tweets.

Fairleigh Dickinson (D-III - NJ): FDU is looking for a Week 1 game in 2024 and 2025. We would prefer to sign a 2-year contract (home in 2024 and travel in 2025) but are open to all possibilities. Please contact head coach, Anthony VanCuren, at avancuren@fdu.edu, if interested.

Indiana: Steven Ruzic, who has previous stops at Auburn as director of player personnel as well as at UNC, Minnesota and Ole Miss, is expected to become the new GM at Indiana, per multiple reports.

West Alabama (D-II): The University of West Alabama is looking for opponents for 2023 week 1 (9/2) and week 8 (10/21) with 2024 dates open week 2 and week 10. D2 games are preferred. Email bgilliland@uwa.edu if interested in discussing options.

North Texas: DeMarcus Ayers has joined the staff as a graduate assistant. Ayers is a former standout receiver at Houston who spent a few seasons in the NFL, and CFL.

Sam Houston: Sam Houston Football is seeking entry level candidates interested in working in Operations and/or Player Personnel. Duties would strictly be off the field and would not involve coaching. Atlanta Falcons: Veteran defensive coordinator and former Broncos head coach Vic Fangio is interviewing for the defensive coordinator job today, Ian Rapoport tweets. Fangio spent last season as a defensive consultant for the Eagles.

UT-Permian Basin (D-II): Dave Campbell's Texas Football notes that first-year head coach Kris McCullough has finalized his coaching staff as follows (many of these we've previously reported): Rob Messinger (assistant HC / STC), Ryan Lusby (OC / RBs), Dionte Dean (DC / DBs), Jacob Maxwell (run game coordinator / OL), Blake Crandall (WRs), Alex Wierzbicki (recruiting coordinator / DL), Brady Carson (LBs), Ngalu Fusimalohi (assistant DL), and Justin Victorian (safeties).

Lewis & Clark (D-III - OR): Daniel Fields has joined the program as defensive coordinator. He previously spent ten years at UCLA, starting as a wide receiver for the Bruins before holding a variety of roles including starting off as an assistant recruiting and operations coordinator to defensive analyst most recently working with the inside linebackers.

Elon (FCS - NC): Alex Stadler, who has recently served as offensive line coach at Lehigh (FCS - PA) and Towson (FCS - MD), has accepted the offensive line job on Tony Trisciani's staff.

New England Patriots: The Patriots have requested permission to speak with Vikings wide receivers coach Keenan McCardell for their offensive coordinator opening, Ian Rapoport shares. Pats tight ends coach Nick Caley is interviewing for the vacancy today, per Tom Pelissero. Caley interviewed for the Jets offensive coordinator job yesterday.

Western Kentucky: Former Mississippi State inside receivers coach Drew Hollingshead has been officially announced as the new tight ends coach.

TCU: An update on TCU's pursuit of Kendal Briles as of this morning, per sources... 

West Texas A&M (D-II): Levi Gallas (DC / DL), Brian Vaughn (LBs) are both new additions to Josh Lynn's staff, per Dave Campbell's Texas Football, and Chris Watkins is being retained and will coach the defensive backs while Cody Russell will coach wide receivers and be the special teams coordinator.

Waldorf (NAIA - IA): Following the resignation of head coach Will Finley earlier this week, Waldorf moved quickly to name the latest youngest head coach in college football.

Zak Hill: The former offensive coordinator at Boise State and Arizona State has been tabbed to take over one of the top high school coaching jobs in the country.

South Carolina: Sources tell FootballScoop that Austin Peay (FCS - TN) tight ends coach Ryan Yurachek is heading to South Carolina as an offensive analyst.

Trinity International (NAIA - IL): Mel Mills has been named the new head coach of the program after spending the past 18 months at Purdue as their director of player development.

Senior Bowl: The Senior Bowl announced its 2023 coaching staffs, including a new format to highlight the league's coaching talent

LA Chargers: Linebackers coach Michael Wilhoite has been let go, Daniel Popper tweets.

North Park (D-III - IL): North Park is accepting applications for the position of full-time offensive line coach. This 12-month benefit-eligible position includes, but is not limited to, assisting with all phases of a successful Division III Football program. Very competitive salary range. Coordinator possibilities for the right candidate. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) and a personal commitment to North Park’s mission of Christian higher education. Organization, attention to detail, and a proven track record with recruiting are essential. Carnegie Mellon (D-III - PA): Carnegie Mellon University is seeking applicants for a full-time assistant coach on the defensive side of the ball, with preference given to those with Linebacker or Defensive Back experience. Job responsibilities include: Coaching your own position group, recruiting on the national scale, film breakdown, playbook formulation, as well as other duties assigned by the Head Coach and Director of Athletics. Southern Virginia (D-III): Joe DuPaix, who previously led the program in 2016-17 before leaving to join the staff at Navy, is back as head coach at Southern Virginia. He spent the last several seasons with the Midshipmen coaching the slotbacks.

San Diego State: Significant staff moves at SDSU, led by the retirement of a FootballScoop Coach of the Year winner.

Baker (NAIA - KS): Miguel Regalado, who previously served as the offensive coordinator at Baker from 2011-17, has accepted the head coaching job. Before taking the job, he was the first head coach at Clarke (NAIA - IA) in 2019 and led the program to a 3-win season in their third full season of play last fall.

Tulane: Tulane is expected to hire Marshall defensive coordinator Lance Guidry in the same role, sources tell FootballScoop.

Furman (FCS - SC): Cory Colder is joining the staff as running backs coach after spending last season at Davidson (FCS - NC).

Guilford College (D-III - NC): Guilford College is looking to fill a Defensive Assistant position. Staff is flexible and looking for best fit possible. Candidates will be responsible for film editing/breakdown using HUDL, recruiting your own area, coaching your own position group, and any other duties assigned by the head coach and the defensive coordinator. Clarke (NAIA - IA): Adam Hicks, who has served defensive coordinator since the inception of the program in 2019, has been elevated to head coach. Hicks steps into the role after Miguel Regalado accepted the head coaching job at Baker (NAIA - KS).

Quincy (D-II - IL): Jackson McFarlane, a former receiver at East Central (D-II - OK), has been announced as the team's new receivers coach.

Southwest Oklahoma State (D-II): Justin Jackson, the special teams coordinator / linebackers coach at Southwestern (NAIA - OK), has accepted the defensive coordinator job at SWOSU.
