Please join us in praying for the family and friends of legendary coach Chick Harris who died recently. Harris devoted over 30 years of his life to coaching in the NFL with the Bills, Seahawks, Rams, Panthers and Texans. He was beloved by so many and will be missed by all. 

Bob Fisher, who dedicated 35 years to Baldwin Wallace (D-III - OH) football (including 20 as defensive coordinator) and was the all-time winningest baseball coach in the school's history, passed away yesterday. Please join us in praying for his family.

San Francisco 49ers: Defensive coordinator Nick Sorensen will not continue in the play calling role for the team, but the organization is hoping to retain him on staff, multiple reports share. 

Dallas Cowboys: The Cowboys denied the Bears request to interview Mike McCarthy for their head coaching opening Adam Schefter has reported. 

Jones (MS - CC): Mississippi Gulf Coast receivers coach Bam Bryant will be the new offensive coordinator at Jones. 

Texas State: Auburn special teams coordinator Tanner Burns is expected to become special teams / associate head coach at Texas State sources confirm. 247 first reported the move. 

Southern Miss: The program has announced the additions of Telly Lockette (assistant HC / RBs) and Aaron Dobson (WRs) tonight.

Boise State: Wide receivers coach Matt Miller, who returned to the program in 2020 as wide receivers coach and is in seventh season on staff, has been elevated to co-offensive coordinator. He spent last season as passing game coordinator.

Alabama: Sources confirm that former Tide player and veteran defensive backs coach Jason Jones is expected to join Kalen DeBoer's staff as assistant defensive backs coach.

Cleveland Browns: First-year tight ends coach, and former Notre Dame and Alabama offensive coordinator Tommy Rees will interview for the offensive coordinator opening, per Mary Kay Cabot.

Seattle Seahawks: After parting ways with Ryan Grubb earlier this week, head coach Mike Macdonald shares today that there are currently no in-house replacements for a new offensive coordinator.

New Mexico: After three seasons at Sam Houston, John Johnson has joined the staff as running backs coach.

Las Vegas Raiders: The team has decided to part ways with head coach Antonio Pierce. He led the organization to a 5-4 record as interim head coach in 2023 and was 4-13 this past fall.

Wisconsin: As expected, Wisconsin has now announced Jack Cooper has been promoted to safeties coach from senior defensive analyst.

Calvin (D-III - MI): Calvin University has an opening for a a full-time defensive coach. This position will be based on best fit with potential Special Teams Coordinator responsibility. Interested applicants please email your resume to trent.figg@calvin.edu.

Charlotte: We've shared a number of these over the past few weeks, but today the program formally announced the hires of Nate Faanes (DC), Brian Haines (assistant HC / STc / RBs), Kurt Mattix (Co-DC / DL), Brian Metz (TEs), Bryan Nardo (safeties), and Allen Rudolph (OL / run game coordinator).

Indiana State (FCS - PA): Head coach Curt Mallory has announced the additions of two Bucknell (FCS - PA) assistants to his staff in offensive coordinator John Bear as the Sycamores new offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach and Bison running backs coach Jalen Banks as the new running backs coach.

Lincoln (D-II - PA): Lincoln University is taking applications for their Offensive Coordinator opening. This is a full time position with benefits. If interested please email resume & references to lu1footballops@gmail.com.

McKendree (D-II - IL): McKendree University is seeking applicants for a Graduate Assistant on the offensive side of the ball, TE's or Running Backs. New Orleans Saints: The Saints have requested interviews with Aaron Glenn (Lions OC), Kellen Moore (Eagles OC), Joe Brady (Bills OC), Anthony Weaver (Dolphins SC), Darren Rizzi (Saints interim HC), Mike Kafka (Giants QBs), and Mike Vrabel (former Titans HC).

New York Jets: The Jets have requested to interview Saints interim head coach Darren Rizzi for the head coaching job, per multiple reports.

New England Patriots: Byron Leftwich is interviewing for the head coaching job today, The Athletic shares. The former Jaguars quarterback, once considered a hot head coaching candidate, last coached in the league in 2022 as the offensive coordinator of the Bucs. Tom Pelissero adds the Patriots also interviewed Pep Hamilton today as well. 

Jacksonville State: Rohan Gaines has accepted the defensive backs job after spending last season as a defensive analyst on the Auburn staff working with the defensive backs.

Sad news to share as former TCU assistant, and current Grand Prairie (TX) HS head coach Tony Tademy has passed away suddenly. Please join us in praying for his family.

South Alabama: Former Vanderbilt running backs coach Jayden Everett, who spent last season at Michigan assisting with the running backs, has accepted the running backs job on staff, per Pete Thamel.

Shaw (D-II - NC): Lamar Manigo, who served as offensive coordinator during the best offenses in school history from 2016-2021, is returning as the program's new head coach. He most recently served as assistant head coach / offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach at Virginia Union (D-II).

Cincinnati Bengals: In addition to Raiders DC Patrick Graham (see below), Tom Pelissero also shares Patriots defensive coordinator Demarcus Covington will also interview for the defensive coordinator job on Wednesday.

UNC Pembroke (D-II - NC): UNCP is currently accepting applications for a Restricted Earnings Defensive Backs Coach. Responsibilities will include coaching your own position, film breakdown, practice organization, own recruiting area, student athlete development, and other duties assigned by the Head Football Coach. Playing/coaching experience with DB’s is preferred. Position includes a monthly stipend, meal plan, and potential scholarship $$ towards a graduate program at UNCP. Northeastern State (D-II - OK): Manaia Brown has accepted the defensive line job. He spent last season as the defensive line coach at Garden City CC (JC - KS).

Southeast Missouri (FCS): SEMO is looking for a Nickels / Recruiting Coordinator. This is a FT position with benefits. Jacksonville Jaguars: The organization has formally requested interviews with Kellen Moore (Eagles OC), Todd Monken (Ravens OC), Joe Brady (Bills OC), Liam Coen (Bucs OC), Ben Johnson (Lions OC), Aaron Glenn (Lions DC), Patrick Graham (Raiders DC) and Robert Saleh (former Jets HC).

Cincinnati Bengals: Raiders defensive coordinator Patrick Graham is set to interview for the Bengals new opening at defensive coordinator, per Tom Pelissero.

Roc Bellantoni: After being fired, re-hired and then retained by three different Florida Atlantic head coaches in six weeks' time, sources confirm to FootballScoop that Bellantoni will instead join the Auburn staff.

Tennessee Titans: The organization has made the decision to fire GM Ron Carthon after two seasons. Carthon signed an extension this past off season and has four years remaining on his deal. President of football operations Chad Brinker will lead the search for a new GM. The Titans have the top pick in the NFL draft.

New York Jets: Multiple reports share the Jets plan to interview Green Bay VP of player personnel Jon-Eric Sullivan for their GM job.

Westminster (D-III - MO): Westminster College (Fulton, MO) is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time position on the defensive side of the football program. The position offers flexibility in coaching responsibilities based on the candidate’s experience and skill set. Interviews will be conducted at the upcoming AFCA Convention. Butler (FCS - IN): Sources tell FootballScoop that UW-River Falls (D-III) offensive line coach Luke Shively has accepted the offensive line job.

Culver-Stockton (NAIA - MO): Culver-Stockton College is currently looking for an Offensive GA. This position will be the best fit. Job responsibilities would include coaching your own position group, running meetings, and recruiting your own area. If you are attending the AFCA Convention please include that in your email. Graceland (NAIA - IA): Graceland University would like to invite applicants for a Defensive Back Coach. Duties include running the Strength and Conditioning Program, assisting the Head Coach, Defensive Coordinator, Recruiting Area/Position, Film Breakdown/Upload (Hudl). VMI (FCS): Peter Capone is tackling a number of new tasks as the school's first-ever DFO.

Jacksonville Jaguars: The team has put in a request to interview Buccaneers offensive coordinator Liam Coen for their head coaching job, per multiple reports.

Charlotte: Sources confirm Tre Bell, who had accepted the corners job at UMass last month, is joining the 49ers staff under Tim Albin as corners coach and pass game coordinator. ESPN has shared the same.

Ben Johnson: The Lions offensive coordinator has a window from Thursday to Saturday to interview virtually and has interview requests from the Jaguars, Patriots and Bears.

Youngstown State (FCS - OH): Sources tell FootballScoop Doug Phillips and the Penguins are set to add a former Big Ten and Big 12 play caller to the staff, as well as a former Michigan assistant.

Aaron Glenn: The Lions defensive coordinator will begin his head coaching interviews Thursday and spread them out through Saturday with the Jets, Saints, Bears and Jaguars interviews all taking place virtually.

Marshall: Sources tell FootballScoop Tony Gibson is hiring Chansi Stuckey as his new receivers coach after Theron Aych accepted a position at Oklahoma State. 

New York Jets: Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy will interview virtually for the Jets head coaching job tomorrow, per league rules.

Stephen F. Austin (FCS - TX): SFA is currently looking for 3 volunteer assistants (1 offense / 1 defense / 1 special teams). Job responsibilities would include but are not limited to film breakdown, helping with all aspects of recruiting, assisting with game preparation and assisting with a position group. This is an unpaid position, which can lead to a paid position . Applicants must be proficient in Catapult video software, Microsoft Office, Google Docs as well as other basic technology devices. Cisco College (JC - TX): Cisco College has an opening for an offensive skill position coach. Ideal candidates are young coaches looking to gain experience running their own room and contribute with all aspects of running a college football program. The position comes with RA duties. Must live in dorms. Pay comes out to be $1200/month after taxes. Free on campus housing and meals with full health and retirement benefits available. South Alabama: Receivers coach Paul Petrino, who has play calling experience at Central Michigan, Louisville and Arkansas, is expected to be the new offensive coordinator, per CBS Sports.

Northern Arizona (FCS): Northern Arizona University is looking for offensive volunteer assistants. These are strictly volunteer positions; there is no compensation or housing. These positions will include but not limited to on field coaching, breakdown of opponent film, scouting reports, practice organization, game day duties, and all other responsibilities delegated to them from the Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator. This is an entry level position to gain valuable experience with a Division 1 FCS Program and grow your network of coaches within the profession. This is an unpaid position that will begin as soon as possible. Indianapolis Colts: The team has announced a decision to part ways with defensive coordinator Gus Bradley, who spent the past three seasons with the franchise.

Baylor: Dave Aranda made two changes to his defensive coaching staff on Monday, sources confirmed to FootballScoop.

Davidson (FCS - NC): Multiple sources share with FootballScoop head coach Saj Thakkar has his new offensive coordinator.

Cincinnati: Sources tell FootballScoop that Cortney Braswell has earned a promotion with the Bearcats.

Wisconsin: Luke Fickell has found Wisconsin's new wide receivers coach, sources tell FootballScoop.

Marist (FCS - NY): Former Rutgers staffer TJ Weyl is being promoted to offensive coordinator, source tells FootballScoop.

Stanford: Sam Fisher has accepted the assistant GM position with the program. Fisher most recently spent time in the NIL space as a founder / CEO and is also a former executive coach where he focused on startup founders, young executives, and athletes.
