West Florida (D-II): Davenport (D-II - MI) defensive line coach / run game coordinator Lucas Melo has accepted the defensive line job with the Argos.
Carolina Panthers: Josh McCown, who was in on the Texans head coaching search last year, is joining Frank Reich's staff in Carolina, Adam Schefter tweets. This will be McCown's first coaching opportunity since retiring in 2020. Also, Ian Rapoport tweets that Dom Capers is joining the staff as a senior defensive assistant. Capers worked closely with Panthers new defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero with the Broncos last season.
Rhode Island (FCS): Per source, Austin Peay (FCS - TN) quality control coach / assistant safeties coach Austin Cordova will be the new cornerbacks coach at URI.
Houston Texans: Matt Zenitz tweets that 49ers quality control coach Stephen Adegoke is being hired to coach the safeties for DeMeco Ryans staff.
Arizona Cardinals: Ian Rapoport shared on NFL Network today that the Cardinals are "hitting pause" on their head coaching search over the weekend with the Super Bowl in town and he adds that he "expects them to continue the search come Monday when things will accelerate very quickly."
Houston Texans: In addition to retaining strength coach Mike Eubanks (which we reported this morning), the Texans are also retaining special teams coordinator Frank Ross as well, sources tell FootballScoop.
Purdue: Sources tell FootballScoop that the Boilermakers are making an impressive hire from the SEC.

Toledo's Offensive Line Coach Mike Hallett Shares His Open Side Leverage Pulls in Mid Zone: The open side (two surface) mid zone can be a very productive run scheme, but what if a play side 2i prevents the Center/Guard combo from getting to the point linebacker? It was an issue University of Toledo offensive line coach Mike Hallett encountered, so he started treating his mid-zone like a man scheme. His answer was to pull the Center, term it a different concept (F Mid Zone) and it resulted in an efficiency of 7.4 yards per carry this season. LA Chargers: Jeff Howard is joining the team as inside linebackers coach, Tom Pelissero tweets. Howard was previously passing game coordinator / defensive backs coach with the Browns, where he spent the past two seasons.
Central Methodist (NAIA - MO): A year removed from a 9-win season, Central Methodist is beginning their search for a new leader of the program.
Missouri Baptist (NAIA): Jonny Heck has joined the staff as quarterbacks coach. Heck has previous experience as a graduate assistant at Ottawa University (NAIA - KS) and was an offensive coaching assistant at Kansas prior to that.
Central Michigan: Over a week ago we shared, per sources, that Jim McElwain was signing a contract extension and The Detroit News shared recently that he will make $1,005,120 in base pay this fall. That will rank second in the MAC behind only Toledo's Jason Candle who makes $1.1 million. If Central Michigan were to fire McElwain without cause, the school's buyout starts at $2 million in 2023, and drops to $1 million in the final year of the deal (2026). If Jim were to leave for another job, his buyout starts at $700k in 2023, and drops to $300k in 2026, the report adds.
Richmond (FCS - VA): University of Richmond has an Offensive Quality Control opening. This is a VOLUNTEER position. No compensation, housing or benefits provided (occasional meals provided). Potential immediate start date. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: practice organization, film breakdown, self-scout, opponent scouting, and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator/Director of Football Operations. Kansas State: Offensive coordinator Collin Klein, who had been a candidate and interviewed for the Notre Dame offensive coordinator opening, is no longer a candidate for the opening in South Bend, Heather Dinich of ESPN shares.
Jacksonville Jaguars: Chad Hall, who spent the past six seasons with the Bills, is being hired as the Jags new receivers coach, Tom Pelissero shares. Hall's contract was up in Buffalo, Pelissero adds.
