Hampton (FCS - VA): Hampton University is looking to hire a Strength and Conditioning Coach for Football. This is a full-time position with benefits. Grand Valley State (D-II - MI): Grand Valley State University is currently seeking a Full-Time Sports Performance Coach. This position will be responsible for Sports as assigned by the Director of Sports Performance. Pay Range is $42,700-$61,900 (Based on years of experience). Weber State (FCS - UT): Weber State Sports Performance, a Division I university member of the Big Sky Conference, is actively seeking motivated individuals for the UNPAID internship program this FALL 2023. There are 2-3 spots available with Football and other sports as able. The internship program will run from August 1 thru December 15. Interns will gain practical experience working in a Sports Performance setting. Over the course of the semester interns can expect to work early morning, late afternoon, and/or weekend hours. As an intern you can expect to assist with all team training sessions. Gain valuable knowledge and experience via, exercise selection/progression/regression, facility management, and professional development assignments. You will also gain experience and knowledge with GPS, timing gates and velocity based equipment. The goal of the internship program is to develop the skills and coaching experience that prepare successful interns for graduate assistant positions at the conclusion of their time in the program. REQUIREMENTS: Graduate, or Undergraduate students working towards a degree in exercise science or related field, OR post graduate students looking to gain experience in a Division 1 setting. A strong desire to become a Sports Performance Professional at the Collegiate Level, ability to maintain a flexible and demanding schedule, effective communication and leadership skills in a group setting. Wisconsin-Whitewater (D-III): Wisconsin-Whitewater is seeking an Assistant Sports Performance Coach for 2023-24 Academic year (August-May). Start date by August 14, 2023. This is a paid assistantship which includes a $10,000 stipend divided over 9 months. Work schedule can potentially allow for other part time job(s) to earn extra income. Duties: Design and lead workouts for specific teams as assigned by Director (non-football). Monitor and adjust workouts working closely with sport coaches and athletic training staff. Provide leadership and instruction in the athletic development of student athletes to include skill analysis, teach proper technique and adapt workouts to match each sports specific need. Provide encouragement, motivate, and give feedback to student athletes to ensure maximum development of athletic potential. Assist with outside activities as assigned by Director. Job Requirements: BS/BA in an Exercise Science related field. Master’s Preferred. Certification from nationally recognized organization (CSCS, CSCCa, USAW etc.) Previous experience as a collegiate athlete or training athletes. Strong desire to pursue a career in collegiate strength and conditioning. Excellent work ethic. Ability to adapt to schedule changes. Team Player. CPR/First Aid certified. Desired Skills: Knowledge and experience in all areas of strength training including Olympic style lifting as well as speed, agility, plyometric, flexibility and conditioning methods. Experience with GPS tracking units as well as Teambuildr a plus also. Archbishop Moeller HS (OH): Archbishop Moeller High School in Cincinnati is accepting applications for an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. The position is part-time, with a time commitment of 29 hours per week - $15/hr. Description: This position assists the Head Strength and Conditioning Coordinator in developing, implementing, and conducting strength and conditioning programs for all varsity sports. Additional responsibilities will include programming and leading teams, weight room supervision, daily upkeep, maintenance of equipment, and additional job duties assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coordinator. Requirements: bachelor’s degree in exercise science, sports medicine, physical education, or related field required. Applicants must be certified CPR/First Aid, and have/pursuing CSCCa-SCCC, NSCA-CSCS, and/or USA-W certifications.
