Perhaps the saddest comment on the Michigan football program right now is that Paul Finebaum doesn't have the heart to attack Jim Harbaugh right now.
Those two used to go at each other like a linebacker and running back meeting at the goal line, back when the idea of Harbaugh at Michigan was fresh and exciting.
But now it's come to this. Following Saturday's shocking loss to Michigan State, the No. 23 Wolverines head into a massive game with No. 13 Indiana. A loss to the 2-0 Hoosiers would all but bury Michigan in the Big Ten East, putting them two games in the loss column (plus the tiebreaker) behind Indiana, with Wisconsin, Penn State and Ohio State still ahead on the schedule.
Again, we're talking about Michigan behind buried behind Indiana.
So with all that in mind, Paul Finebaum joined the growing chorus of voices calling for Michigan to let Harbaugh, who is only under contract for one season after this one, walk after this season if he can find a suitable offer elsewhere.
