Bowl season is upon us, which provides a great opportunity for those so inclined to offer a careful deviation from their regular uniform profile. And three teams are kicking off the bowl season right.
Houston, meeting San Diego State in the Las Vegas Bowl, has traded its interlocking "UH" lids for their alternate screaming Cougar lids.
That alternate logo definitely has a Kansas State-y feel to it, but it's a great look for an alternate.
Later in the day, Central Florida will "host" Arkansas State in the Cure Bowl, played in Orlando's Camping World Stadium. The Knights will don their home black uniforms topped by these gorgeous black lids.

Finally, Appalachian State will meet Toledo in the Camellia Bowl, and the Mountaineers have added a nice touch by placing a camellia inside their block "A" decal on their alternate white helmets. It's a look reminiscent of how some Rose Bowl participants add rose decals to their helmets.
