Kansas Wesleyan (NAIA): Kansas Wesleyan University seeks a highly motivated, energetic, and experienced Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach to lead and oversee the athletic performance program for all varsity athletic teams. The successful candidate will have extensive experience designing and implementing football-specific strength and conditioning programs while also possessing the knowledge and versatility to support the unique performance needs of all sports across the athletic department. The Strength & Conditioning Coach will be responsible for developing a comprehensive strength, conditioning, speed, agility, injury prevention, and athletic development program that enhances student-athlete performance while fostering a culture of accountability, discipline, and competitive excellence. Facility management is also involved and includes being able to oversee daily operations of the university weight room and athletic performance facilities, maintain equipment inventory and recommend facility improvements, ensure compliance with all safety standards and risk management protocols, and coordinate facility scheduling for all athletic programs. Other administrative responsibilities will include developing and managing the athletic performance budget, maintaining accurate records of athlete participation, and performance metrics, assisting with recruiting by showcasing the university's athletic performance program to prospective student-athletes and families, participating in departmental meetings, university functions, and community engagement activities. Preferred Qualifications are as follows: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Strength & Conditioning, Sports Performance, or a related field. Current Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) or equivalent nationally recognized certification. Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications. Minimum of 3 years of collegiate strength and conditioning experience. Demonstrated experience working with football programs and overseeing multiple sports within an athletic department. Familiarity with NAIA athletics and student athlete development. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
