Sources: Bob Chesney, James Madison poised to add new defensive line coach (Delaware)

Sam Daniels has coached at Richmond and Delaware, but now he's poised to return home.

Sources tell FootballScoop that Daniels is set to become the new defensive line coach at James Madison for the recently hired Bob Chesney.

Fitting, right? Daniels, after all, is a former two-time All-America selection for the Dukes, for whom he eventually was honored as a team captain and line MVP.

In addition to his most recent work at Delaware, where he served as the Blue Hens' defensive line coach of the past two seasons, Daniels has the experience at Richmond, Daniels also has coached at Frostburg State and Bridgewater College.

Daniels also has coached at highly regarded HBCU program Howard as well as Shepherd College (West Virginia).

Chesney was hired earlier this month to replace Curt Cignetti, who parlayed his unprecedented success during JMU's transition from FCS to FBS residency into the head job at Indiana University.
