Having a spot on staff for a designated pass rush specialist is a trend that has emerged over the past few seasons for a number of programs.
A few years ago at Michigan State, Mel Tucker brought in Brandon Jordan to add a spark to the Spartans pass rush in that capacity.
Jordan, who held his own private trainings for elite defensive lineman where he worked with more than 200 players on NFL roster including the likes of Cam Heyward, Jadeveon Clowney, Von Miller and TJ Watt, spent two seasons in the role for the Spartans.
Last spring, almost exactly one year ago, he accepted a similar job in the NFL with Pete Carroll and the Seattle Seahawks.
After a season in Seattle, he's moving back to college football with a role at Ohio State.
Jordan recently accepted a defensive assistant role with the Buckeyes, and announced the move earlier today.
Before starting Brandon Jordan Trench Performance he spent time in a variety of roles coaching at Missouri S&T, McKendree University, Austin Peay, and took part in the NFL's Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship program with the Arizona Cardinals in 2021.
