Porters Chapel Academy (MS): Head coach Wayne Lynch has formally turned in his letter of resignation after being asked to step back into an assistant coach role by the administration. Junior high coach Stacy Sykes coached the team last weekend, and will act as head coach this week in the finale as well.

Bixby High School competes in the 6A Division, the highest in Oklahoma. This is an unpaid position. Interns will receive experience working with a variety of teams and age groups; have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities, and receive college credit if applicable. Responsibilities include assisting with supervision of training programs, conducting team and individual strength sessions, assisting with daily facility maintenance, and all other departmental functions. Intern qualifications: Punctuality; Strong communication skills; Strong work ethic; Ability to follow directions, Desire to pursue a career in the strength & conditioning field. Preferred qualifications: Pursuing a Bachelor’s/Master’s in Exercise Science or related field; 1+ year of experience in a strength & conditioning setting.
