The storyline continues to evolve regarding Michigan, Connor Stalions and the illegal scouting operation in Ann Arbor.
On the heels of news that the NCAA was joining the investigation at Central Michigan regarding allegations that Stalions was on the sideline in Chippewas gear for their early season game against Michigan State, there's a new update out this afternoon, this time from Wolverines athletic director Warde Manuel.
Manuel, who is a participating member of the College Football Playoff Committee, announced today that he will not be making the trip to Dallas for their weekly meeting.
Instead, Manuel says he will be staying in Ann Arbor, "attending to important matters regarding the ongoing investigation into our football program."
Manuel ended his statement by stating that he looks forward to "being back in the room with my fellow committee members next week and every week through the end of this season."
The statement comes after Big Ten Commissioner Tony Petitti visited campus in Ann Arbor recently, and there is growing pressure for him from Big Ten coaches and athletic directors to take unprecedented action.
The Wolverines have threatened legal action if the Big Ten were to suspend Harbaugh.
Michigan faces Penn State this weekend ahead of a widely anticipated match up with Ohio State in the season finale with potential trips to the Big Ten title game on the line.
