Hype video showdown: Texas vs. LSU (LSU)

It is a myth that coaches win games. It's also a myth that players win games.

You know who wins games? Creative video departments.

The right hype video can alter game plans, inspire players to reach heights never thought possible, reach into the supernatural and change events of the future just by finding the right clips and playing the right music.

On Saturday, LSU heads to Austin for the first time in nearly 70 years, where the Longhorns and Tigers will meet as top-10 opponents. It's kind of a big deal.

This is one of those games were you pour an extra 10 percent on top of the extra 10 percent you were already giving. The players will. The fans certainly will. And if you're in the creative department, you've got to give it 120 percent as well. Below are the hype videos from LSU and Texas.

I've been told Texas' offering is its weekly "fan" hype video, meaning the players will see something different.

In any case, we can only judge what we're show and, while, both of these are exquisite, but getting Dallas-area native and New York Jets Pro Bowler Jamal Adams to narrate pushes LSU's over the top.

In addition to entering Saturday as a near touchdown favorite, the Bayou Bengals will also carry the edge of having the better hype video as well.
