Under first-year head coach Mike Norvell, Memphis has gotten off to a blazing hot 3-0 start.
Following their 35-17 week 1 win over FCS Southeast Missouri State, they have put together back-to back impressive performances against Kansas (a 43-7 win) and Bowling Green (a 77-3 win). This weekend they take on a tough Ole Miss squad at 7pm.
Shortly after Norvell was hired, a picture of him from his playing days as a wide receiver at Central Arkansas starting making its way around social media. Normally that wouldn't be all that notable except in his picture, Norvell is rocking some corn rows straight out of the Allen Iverson playbook.
The internet was inspired by the picture, and decided to make a concept helmet to honor Norvell's hairstyle choice from back in the day.
It goes without saying that these will never make it to the equipment room, but I know I'm not alone in hoping that someone actually makes this for real and sends it to Norvell to feature in his office.
It would make for a great conversational piece.
