Sources: West Georgia, Steve Englehart adding key offensive assistant (Featured)

Devin Bice keeps climbing the coaching ladder.

A former FootballScoop rising star honoree, Bice is again earning an opportunity to expand his coaching duties in college football, FootballScoop has learned.

Bice is headed to West Georgia to join Steve Englehart's staff; he will again coach the offensive line and tight ends in Englehart's program, same as he did at Presbyterian, but also is adding the role of offensive recruiting coordinator, sources told FootballScoop.

This past season at Presbyterian saw Bice help the program shatter several school records, including most wins in a season as a Football Championship Subdivision participant. He helped coach star tight end Nathan Levicki to FCS All-America honors in 2025.

A former Centre College assistant, Bice has continued to climb from the NCAA's Division III ranks up to D-I coaching.

Nearly hired atop the UAB program earlier this month, Englehart instead landed at West Georgia when Wolves coach Joel Taylor departed for the head coaching post at Mercer.

Taylor, like Englehart, had a breakthrough-season in 2025 when he led West Georgia into the FCS Top 25 national rankings and had the program challenging for an FCS Playoffs berth.

Englehart at one point guided a Presbyterian program that closed 2024 on a multi-game winning streak and uncorked a perfect opening two months of the 2025 season to have college football's longest winning streak at the NCAA D-I level alongside Bobby Wilder's Tennessee Tech program.
