Sources: Lane Liffin, LSU adding top Ole Miss recruiting staffer (Featured)

Lane Kiffin returned the offensive play-caller on loan.

He isn't stopping taking who he wants -- and who will follow -- with him from Ole Miss to LSU.

Sources tell FootballScoop that Dwike Wilson, who's been the Ole Miss Senior Executive Director of Recruiting, will reunite with Kiffin on the bayou with the LSU Tigers.

This news is shared with FootballScoop just hours following the news that Charlie Weis Jr. is returning to Ole Miss in his role as offensive coordinator for the duration of the Rebels's College Football Playoff run.

It's also no coincidence that Ole Miss, and Kiffin in a statement, is sharing the news in the hours before the 13-member College Football Playoff Selection Committee hosts its weekly meeting tonight at the Gaylord Hotel in Grapevine, Texas.

A Vicksburg, Mississippi, native, Wilson's carved a unique journey in college football; he's been an on-field defensive assistant coach at multiple stops, including South Alabama and Southern Miss, as well as previously serving in a director of player personnel role in the Big Ten for the Indiana Hoosiers.

Kiffin also already has former Ole Miss General Manager Billy Glasscock with him at LSU, and a source familiar with the situation told FootballScoop late Monday night that Kiffin is expected to attempt to bring every on-field offensive assistant with him "except John Garrison, he's not going."

Multiple sources told FootballScoop that Dane Stevens will depart Ole Miss, where he was a senior analyst with a key role in the Rebels's passing game, to become the quarterbacks coach at LSU. He's receiving a two-year deal at LSU. CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz shared the news first.
