Illinois: Illinois is reportedly considering offering Bill Cubit a two year deal to stay on as head coach. Here is how that might work.
Tulane: Tulane plans to dismiss head coach Curtis Johnson after the Green Wave's finale against Tulsa Friday, according to Dan Wolken of USA Today. Read more here. Tulane's outgoing AD Rick Dickson responded to this report by stating that the decision had not been made yet. Let it play out friends, the man has one more game to coach. Oh, and go back and...the whole idea of Rob Ryan is mind-blowing!
Eastern Kentucky: Associate head coach / receivers / recruiting coordinator Charlie Skalaski III will serve as interim head coach.
Lamar University (FCS-TX): Following Craig McGallion's retirement, Lamar University plans to go outside the staff to find a replacement for the defensive coordinator position, per source.
Illinois: Interim AD Paul Kowalczyk, speaking on local radio this afternoon, said a decision on Bill Cubit's future will be made Sunday. Sources tell FootballScoop that the feeling within the building is that Illinois will not retain Cubit as head coach. More on the situation here.

South Carolina: Alabama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart has emerged as a front-runner at South Carolina, according to a report from Bruce Feldman.
Maryland: Michigan defensive coordinator DJ Durkin has emerged as a strong candidate at Maryland and has met with school officials about their head coaching vacancy, according to Pat Forde of Yahoo Sports. Forde notes that "no job offer was made, but the interview went well" and that it's not clear how many other candidates the school has interviewed, or will interview.
Illinois: HokieHaven is reporting that longtime Virginia Tech defensive coordinator Bud Foster is a candidate for the head coaching job with the Illini.

West Hills Community College (JC - CA): West Hills Community College District is looking for to hire a head coach / . The selected individual will be expected to teach football classes and other classes as assigned, communicate with students/athletes, recruit students/athletes for the program, supervise study sessions, develop and manage the football budget and follow the policies, procedures and guidelines of the District, Athletic Department and the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA). The instructor/head football coach must be able to communicate with coaching staff, faculty and administration.
