Justin Fuente: Following practice tonight Justin Fuente was asked about a report from Pat Forde that he is just about a done deal to take over as the next head coach at Virginia Tech. Fuente's response was, "I don't know Pat Forde; but as always...if there is something that comes along and there is mutual interest then we'll have those discussions, right now its the time for SMU [this week's opponent]" Regarding the offer he has from Memphis, "I'd had that since October 29th. I was honored to get that offer. Think it speaks volumes about our university, about our administration."

Eastern Kentucky (FCS): EKU is accepting applications for their head coaching position. They have requested all applications be submitted no later than Wednesday December 2nd. To apply, go to this link (and search for requisition number 0618455).

Philadelphia Eagles: On SiriusXM today, Adam Schefter was asked if Chip Kelly would return next season and responded by saying, "The momentum and signs seem to be piling up against a Chip return to Philadelphia. I think both sides are sick of each other," before adding "I just think that Chip Kelly, if given a choice, might be comfortable elsewhere."

Clemson: Defensive coordinator Brent Venables told the Post & Courier today that he is not interested in other jobs. When specifically asked about head coaching offers, Venables said, "Nah, I got a great job today. I'm hoping I got it tomorrow. You deal with things as they come are are put in front of you, but I'm always a believer in you're a week away from humility in this profession, so value what you have, take advantage of the opportunities you have now."

Iowa State: Per Dennis Dodd, Georgia Southern's Willie Fritz has expressed interest in the Cyclones head coaching job.

UCF: Per sources, new AD Danny White plans to interview both Geoff Collins and Randy Shannon from Jim McElwain's staff at Florida. Separate sources believe that Dino Babers is expected to interview as well. We also have been told that Gene Chizik has been discussed as well. As more becomes clear we'll keep you posted.

Kansas State: Sources tell FootballScoop that Bill Snyder intends to return in 2016. Here's our story.

Washington Redskins: Mike Silver of NFL.com is reporting that he's hearing that "no matter what happens" Jay Gruden is coming back in 2016.

Jeff Tedford: According to Ian Rapoport, search firms have contacted Jeff Tedford to gauge his interest in returning to the college ranks. Tedford is currently the head coach of the BC Lions of the Canadian League.

Norfolk State (FCS - VA): Defensive coordinator Jerry Holmes has been let go after one season with the program.

Central Methodist (NAIA - MO): Per source, defensive coordinator David Calloway will be named head coach later today. Calloway is the former head coach at Texas A&M - Kingsville.

Maine (FCS): Head coach Jack Cosgrove is leaving his coaching position and will be transitioning into a senior associate director of athletics role. Cosgrove has served as head coach since 1993 and has accumulated 129 wins over the last 23 years. Defensive coordinator Joe Harasymiak will serve as interim head coach while a national search is conducted for the full-time head coach.

Buffalo: Deputy athletic director Allen Greene has been promoted to athletic director according to SI. Greene replaces Danny White who took the AD position at Central Florida.

Pace University (D-II - NY): Pace University is accepting applications for an offensive graduate assistant (skilled position – wide receivers, running backs and/or tight ends). Responsibilities will include, but not limited to: coaching a position group, managing a recruiting area, video breakdown, and other duties assigned by the head coach or offensive coordinator. Playing and/or coaching experience with an offensive position is preferred. Position includes tuition, room, board and additional income possibilities. Start Date will be in January 2016. Dickinson State (NAIA - ND): Dickinson State is looking for an opponent on either Sep 3 or Sep 17 for the 2016 season. The Sep 17 date could be a home/away contest for 2016 and 2017 season. Please direct inquiries to Pete Stanton at p.stanton@dickinsonstate.edu.

North Carolina A&T: Offensive line coach Keith Wagner will not return, per source.

Bethany (D-III - WV):Bethany needs a game for 2016 on 9/3 (opening weekend). Willing to do a 2-year deal. Contact wgarvey@bethanywv.edu if interested.

UW-Platteville (D-III):The University of Wisconsin-Platteville is looking for a home and home game for the 2016-17 football seasons. The available dates in 2016 are Sept 10th or 17th. University of Redlands (D-III - CA): The University of Redlands is taking applications for an offensive football graduate assistant. Primary responsibilities include coaching receivers, coordination of all aspects of video/technology and other duties as assigned. Bachelor’s degree (3.0+ GPA preferred) and admission/enrollment into the University of Redlands School of Education or School of Business graduate programs is required. Recruiting experience strongly preferred. Tuition remission for graduate school, bi-weekly stipend with eligibility for a meal plan are included in the compensation.
