Seattle University: Seattle University Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applications for 1-2 VOLUNTEER strength and conditioning intern positions for the Winter/Spring 2015 Quarters. Internship will begin January 5th and continue through June 13th, 2015. QUALIFICATIONS: A strong desire to pursue a career as a strength and conditioning coach; a strong work ethic; punctual; completed or working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or a related field; current CPR/AED certification. Preferred: Currently possess or working toward CSCS, SCCC and/or USAW certification; previous internship/coaching experience. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assisting strength coaches in the implementation and supervision of strength and conditioning/sports performance programs; daily weight room maintenance and up keep; and any other duties assigned by the strength and conditioning staff. COMPENSATION: Interns will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field at the Division-I level, achieve necessary internship/practicum hours for SCCC and/or fulfill school credit if necessary.
