Buffalo State (D-III - NY): Buffalo State College seeks applications for a ten-month assistant coaching internship in strength & conditioning. As an assistant coach the successful candidate will assist the head coach with all aspects of the strength & conditioning program, and teams as assigned. Duties include, but are not limited to, providing a sound and well-rounded program that improves all facets of athleticism; provide safe instruction, supervision and motivation to assigned sports team(s); test and evaluate the student-athletes to show improvements regards to strength, conditioning and overall fitness levels; assist in repair and maintenance for all equipment used in strength and conditioning area; coordinate rehabilitation of injured athletes with staff athletic trainers; and other duties as assigned by Head Strength Coach. Strong leadership, relevant experience, and motivational skills are required; a record of integrity and the ability to inspire student-athletes to perform at a high level is essential; and a willingness to advance the goals and mission of Buffalo State while adhering to the rules, policies, and regulations established by Buffalo State and the NCAA is critical. Qualifications include: 1) Bachelor’s Degree required, 2) college or high school strength and conditioning coaching and 3) a nationally recognized certification (CSCS or SCCC preferred).
