Arizona State: Chaparall HS (AZ) head coach Conrad Hamilton has joined the staff as a defensive analyst.
Western Carolina: Chris Collins, a former WCU player, has been hired to coach the linebackers. Collins was a defensive graduate assistant at Appalachian State last season, and spent the two seasons prior to that as the secondary coach and special teams coordinator at Catawba College (D-II - NC).

Scoop him up:Bobby Turner is currently a defensive graduate assistant working with the defensive line at North Carolina Central (FCS). Turner's duties also include being the video coordinator for the team. In his two years with the program, NCCU has earned two conference titles and Turner has provided input during film sessions and on the field, and also helped with scouting efforts. Prior to joining the staff as a graduate assistant, Turner worked as a student intern with the Chattanooga Mocs program, where he played one season. Over the past few seasons Turner has developed relationships with Jerry Mack, Granville Eastman, Jon Bradley, Mike McCarthy, Jonathan Fields, and Mike Mendenhall and is looking to land a job coaching the defensive line at the college level. West Virginia Wesleyan (D-II): Del Smith has now completed his inaugural staff, many of which we've already touched on, as follows; Harrison Bernstein (associate HC), Michael Engle (OC), Dwayne Martin (DC), Tony Testa (director of operations), Mark Philmore (WRs), and Justin King (DL).
Maryland: Maryland paid $50,000 to Neinas Sports Services, the search firm that led to the hire of DJ Durkin as the new head coach of the Terps, per the Baltimore Sun. CFT points out that figure is less than a fifth of what Texas paid their search firm to land Charlie Strong, and less than a sixth of what Florida paid when they hired Jim McElwain.
Boston Concept:High Percentage Run Action Pass – At Catholic High School (LA), offensive coordinator Gabe Fertitta needed to find an efficient play action pass concept to complement his most popular run scheme, power from a 2×1 formation. The result was his Boston concept, which is tailored off his power read concept with an H back. It helped lead the Bears to a state championship in 2015. Bowdoin (D-III – ME): Bowdoin College is looking to hire an offensive coordinator. Bachelor’s degree (Physical Education or related field) preferred OR a minimum of 5 years of coaching experience at the post-secondary level and/or professional competitive experience. Nichols College (D-III - MA): Nichols College is seeking a qualified Graduate Assistant working on the offensive side of the ball. The position receives a salary of $10,000 annually, is eligible to participate in employee medical insurance benefit program, and receive a tuition waiver for up to 18 credits toward an MBA, MSOL, or MSA. Responsibilities include, coaching a position, recruiting, film breakdown, and other duties assigned by coach. Graduate Assistants will also perform athletics administration duties including contest management, working in athletic center, and other duties as assigned. Bachelor’s degree required. Graduate assistant coaches must be accepted into the Nichols College graduate program prior to commencing employment. Preferred candidates must have playing/coaching experience.
