The back porch wisdom of Clemson OL coach Robbie Caldwell (Clemson)

You know someone like him, even if you don't know him specifically. The guy that seemingly spent years one through 18 on a back porch in the woods somewhere, with a rolodex of sayings that simultaneously cause you to raise your eyebrow and nod your head.

For Clemson, that guy is offensive line coach Robbie Caldwell.

And here's one of his favorites, to describe a particularly good block: "Man, he hit him so hard it knocked him into the middle of the week so he could see both Sundays."

Paul Myerberg of USA Today had a nice look at Caldwell's book of country witticisms and how they underscore a deep love for his players.
