UAB: Addressing the rumors that UAB may cancel football in the not-too-distant future, head coach Bill Clark told AL.com, "I think that's just speculation, the fact that maybe they (former players and supporters) didn't get the answers they were looking for. My job is to really coach the team and motivate them and I'm just glad we got people that care." UAB lost to Louisiana Tech 40-24 on Saturday, putting the Blazers at 5-5 in Clark's debut season.

Ed Orgeron: In a profile by Bill Plaschke for the Los Angeles Times, Ed Orgeron said, "I will be a USC Trojan forever, and, I don't know what they're thinking, but the door to come back there is always open in my mind. If the right situation comes up this year and they ask me to go back, I'd be more than happy to listen."

Garden City CC (KS): After two seasons, the school has announced that head coach Matt Miller has been let go. Miller was 4-6 this year and 6-14 over the last two years.

Nicholls State (FCS - LA):The Daily Comet has released a list of names of people who have applied for the vacant head coaching position. It is our understanding that there are a number of coaches interested in the job that have not technically applied yet. Athletic director Rob Bernardi is looking to have someone in place by the first week of December.

Ohio State: Per a USA Today report, Urban Meyer received a raise of about $330,000 back in March, bringing his salary to nearly $4.5 million a year. "We like to keep our coaches in certain sports in the top five in the country consistent with expectations and the resources that we provided. He should be in the top five all the time.โ€ athletic director Gene Smith added before the MSU game yesterday.
