Kutztown: Kutztown University is accepting applications for Spring 2017 Strength and Conditioning Interns. This is an UNPAID position. Interns will be responsible for setup and break down of equipment, demonstration of lifts and exercises, assisting in program design and implementation and cleanliness of facility. Interns will get hand on experience with all varsity sports (18 Division II and 1 Division I), including the 2016 PSAC East Champion Football and 2016 Final Four appearing Women's Soccer teams. Following the semester internship, interns will have a better understanding of the biomechanical and physiological principles behind the different programs being implemented, work with a wide variety of both men's and women's sports and recommendation for future opportunities Qualifications: Candidates must either be receiving college course credit, or have a bachelor's degree and CSCS or SCCC certification. Eastern Washington: Eastern Washington University is seeking 2 highly motivated and qualified graduate assistant strength coaches. Candidates must have a great work ethic, strong communication skills, and be passionate about continually progressing as a strength and conditioning professional. The position requires certification in first aid and CPR, and progress toward USAW, CSCS, and or SCCC. Preference will be given to applicants that have already obtained at least one of the aforementioned certifications. Graduate Assistants at Eastern Washington University will be responsible for the program design and implementation of assigned sports and will assist with implementation of training as necessary. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting the head and assistant strength and conditioning coaches with the design and implementation of training programs; weight room supervision; daily upkeep and maintenance of equipment; and other duties as assigned by the head strength and conditioning coach. The Graduate Assistant position is a two-year assignment beginning with the 2017- 18 academic year and includes an instate tuition waiver for graduate credit hours (student fees not covered) per term (summer terms excluded) and a monthly stipend.
